Also, Alex Rodriguez’s suit game is strong and I’m enjoying him as an analyst. I wish they could get just him and Frank Thomas on the same panel as Pedro.

Completely irrational predictions for this game:

    Russell’s bat wakes up
2015 Jake shows up with a complete game

Not sure how Seager hit a single, when, according to the strike zone, Jake struck him out.

    Robots, plz.

I like the patient Cubs against pitchers lacking control, regardless of the fact that they didn’t score. Hill now at greater than 40 pitches. Hello bullpen.

Apparently a close play at 2B if you ask Buck but don’t show the replay going into commercial or anything…

I just remembered how much I don’t particularly care for Rich Hill.

Dude looks like he’s terrified to be out there and is always expecting the worst to happen and is shocked when it doesn’t.

No surprise he started out as a Cub.

Switched to Pat and Ron while I cook, it’s much less stressful than seeing every Arrieta pitch (dying laughing)

So there was another Independence Day movie. But of course there was.

Also, Nugenix sounds a lot like Eugenics. Way to go, marketing. Solid D+ performance.

When do pitchers and catchers report?

You are getting way ahead of yourself. First we need to speculate on how Epstink will fill the myriad holes in this team.

Losing to Rich Hill in the postseason could be one of the biggest Fuck You’s ever received by the Cubs

The Dodgers sweeping the Cubs in 2008 was what ended my childhood. This series is just putting salt in the wound.

    Perkins,

It’s imaginary? That’s great. The Cubs are losing to an imaginary team.

I mean more that it’s a loose collection of suburbs connected by awful highways that lacks culture or sophistication.

Still plenty of game left. Still plenty of series left. But it’d be a great time for the BABIP dragon to hit the Dodgers instead of the Cubs.

    berselius,

This is true and I believe the Cubs can turn it around, but especially in the game of baseball, it’s hard to go against the odds

The cash machine is blue and green
For a hundred in twenties and a small service fee
I could spend three dollars and sixty-three cents
On Diet Coca-Cola and unlit cigarettes

I wonder why we listen to poets when nobody gives a fuck
How hot and sorrowful, this machine begs for luck

All my lies are always wishes
I know I would die if I could come back new

We want a good life with a nose for things
A fresh wind and bright sky to enjoy my suffering
A hole without a key if I break my tongue
Speaking of tomorrow, how will it ever come?

All my lies are always wishes
I know I would die if I could come back new

I’m down on my hands and knees
    Every time the doorbell rings
    I shake like a toothache
    When I hear myself sing

All my lies are only wishes
I know I would die if I could come back new

    I would like to salute
The ashes of the double-u flags
    And all the fallen leaves
    Filling up shopping bags

The only good thing happening here is the overuse of Jansen. Kinda stupid actually

    Rizzo the Rat:
Jansen is coming out with a 6-run lead for some reason.

I kind of hope he tears his rotator cuff.

If I were a betting man, I’d guess we see Soler back in RF tomorrow, Contreras in LF, Ross at C, Baez at SS, and Zobrist at 2B.

    Here, cheer up fuckers:

To find the last time Cubs came back from a one-game deficit to win a playoff series you'd have to go all the way back to 2015.

Nate the old recalcitrant one from a long time ago,

Not stupid. He had enough rest with the day off and only threw 16 pitches the day before. By the way, 15 of those were cutters, your boys knew they were coming and nothing they could do. The only W we flying here is the west side W.

You don’t allow any runs and keep the batters pressing. Yes the game was well in hand but crush them when possible.

    cerulean,

And I will too be accurate with this series.

That moment where Grandal got the no call (I’ll be the first to admit, looked like strike 3) and the home run 2 pitches later was the moment all Cubs fans lost faith. Congrats on the turnout, there were plenty of you in the stadium until the 8th.

    Perkins,

Haha really? Man, you are some bitter ass fans. Chicago is nothing compared to LA and there are a TON of transplants from Chicago to LA. Haven’t met the person who left LA to go to Chicago. Rise up Cub fans, stop being babies.

    JonKneeV,

Keep grasping for whatever straw you can. Game is played on the field and not bank. By the way, we didn’t sign Heyward, Lester, lackey, Chapman. We love He Heyward deal out here in LA btw, dude can’t even start in a pivotal game 3. Wow, nice investment.
