I can’t tell you what to do, but if you tune in at 4pm CST, you’ll likely be missing a couple innings of Quintana getting smacked around.

according to MLB.com, Game starts at 4pm ET, 3pm CST

Hopefully today Maddon will allow his lefty specialists to face left handed hitters. Otherwise, why have them on the playoff roster? Edwards should never be allowed to face Harper or Murphy.

Trump says that Pence leaving the game yesterday wasn’t a stunt. if that’s true, Mike Pence is dumber than I thought he was. Did it never occur to him that some players would take a knee during the anthem? Is he the only person in the world who wasn’t aware this was happening?

How is kneeling during the anthem disrespectful? Is someone else kneeling during the anthem keeping others from enjoying it or showing their own feelings for the anthem or something?

It’s been kind of funny hearing Pat Hughes toning down his Pat Hughes-ness to pitch for this commemorative bat company.

We should boo veterans because they choose to fight in wars, spreading colonial “democracy” on many sides—like in Viet Nam. I dodged the draft because my high moral standing and ethics meant I had to give myself an ingrown toenail—plus I kept myself out of shape since I was 13—big league.

Just wait till these people who are so offended by kneeling players find out that there are memorials and statues all throughout a large portion of this country that honor Confederate soldiers and generals who fought to overthrow America, or that there are people who proudly display the Confederate flag. Man they’ll probably be so offended.

There are people in this country being discriminated against due to their relgious belief, or due to the color of their skin, or their gender, or their sexual orientation. I find that way more offensive to the American values men and women have died to protect than someone kneeling during the playing of the anthem.

I just saw an ad on Twitter for “Pork you want to fork”. WTF does that mean? Is fork supposed to be stand in for another 4 letter word that starts with f? Because that really doesn’t seem to work in that context, and I’d assume having that kind of interaction with food would be frowned upon by most of polite society.

    SK,

The worry is always that it’s a slippery slope, you start with forks, and then move on to other cutlery, where does it stop? God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Wusthof.

How deep was Rendon’s flyout? Gameday makes it look like the pitch was right down the middle of the plate. Cubs living dangerously.

Can’t really say the Cubs should have won this one like the previous game. They’ve sucked. Quintana was good, but he was a little lucky and the defense has sucked as much as the offense.

Letting Q face Zimmerman a third time would have been a terrible move. I’m not annoyed about the pull. I am pissed of about the fastball down the middle that Strop threw to Zimmerman, though.

    A great win.

But this color announcer is about as competent as Donald Trump in his current position*. He called Edwards Jr Crawford earlier in the game. Because his name is Carl? Ernie just stayed silent, probably thinking—this guy is clueless.

berselius: Winning without being no-hit through six innings would be nice too.

I would be okay with being no-hit through six and then scoring 20 in the seventh. Sounds pretty great actually. (dying laughing)

Was following most of the game from my doctor’s office. BP checked in at about 40 points higher than normal (dying laughing).

They had no business winning that game. I love it.

after firing off two curveballs, trevor bauer hit the corner with a 99mph fastball. Aaron Judge clocked it for a 2 run double. WTF.
