Iowa Cubs 8 @ Tacoma Rainiers 4
Mike Olt was 2-5 with a double and triple; he struck out twice.
Jake Arrieta was nasty, as I said earlier. He struck out 11 in 5 scoreless innings, scattering 2 hits and 3 walks. Alberto Cabrera allowed a pair of runs in the 2 innings he pitched. Chang-Yong Lim, coming to a bullpen near you, pitched a scoreless frame. Brian Schlitter allowed a pair of runs in one inning also.
Tennessee Smokies 4 @ Jacksonville Suns 10
Brett Jackson led off in the game, and went 2-4 with 2 runs and a strikeout. Arismendy Alcantara continues to flounder, going 0-4 with 3 SO. Javier Baez was Javier Baez, going 3-4 with a double with 2 RBI, a SB, and a K. Rubi Silva was 0-4 with 2 SO.
A.J. Morris was terrible, allowing 7 runs and recording 4 outs. PJ Frankie was also bad, allowing a trio of runs in just under a trio of innings. Jeffry Antigua and Frank Batista each allowed no runs, in 3 and 1 innings, respectively.
Kane County Cougars 1 @ Clinton LumbaKings 11
Albert Almora was lifted for a pinch-hitter in this game, but there's no chatter that I can see as to the reason. He and Dan Vogelbach each went 0-4. In fact, the only decent game was Giuseppe Papaccio was 3-3. As a team, the Cougars only struck out once but did not walked. That's crazy.
Tyler Skulina had his first really bad outing (that I can remember), allowing 3 in 2. Justin Amlung allowed a run in 2 innings, and Jose Rosario crapped the bed, allowing 7 runs on 5 walks/6 hits in 3 innings. Stephen Perakslis allowed a hit but nothing else in 1 inning.
Boise Hawks 10 @ Everett Sawks 5
Kris Bryant should be promoted to Kane County, like, today. He went 3-5 with 2 more doubles (he struck out twice and had a fielding error). Rony Rodriguez homered twice and also singled. Jordan Hankins also homered and walked twice.
Rob Zastryzny had a bad one, allowing a quartet of runs in 7 outs. My main man CMP allowed a run in 1.2 innings, but then saved 3 kittens from a burning tree. Sam Wilson, Zack Godley, and Tyler Bremer each allowed no runs.
VSL Tigers 9 @ VSL Cubs 6
AZL Athletics 3 @ AZL Cubs 7
Trevor Clifton allowed a hit and walk in 1 inning, and no runs.

I’ve heard it theorized that Bryant would skip KC because they don’t want to displace Candelario. With Daytona getting rained out four times a week, maybe they just sent him to the AFL and start him in Daytona next year?

Meanwhile, Myles is wondering why only he and other admins are commenting on his new football shit. (Assuming he drew Aisley and possibly berselius into a discussion. Not sure about GW or sitrick, AC is dead, and dmick doesn’t seem to care about NFL)
