berseliusQuote Reply
Mucker,
He loves him some grindy mcgritty baseball. I say that cause he always gives boring platitudes about grit and aggressiveness. He wants both teams to bunt and run more than they should. Buck even sorta called him out on it today with Lindor on first by pointing out Lindor is 1 for 4 in stolen base attempts this postseason.
Its not so much that hes pro indians. Instead its more this type of game seems to be one he doesnt find intriguing.
Also, I dislike his commentary. He’s broadcasting baseball like its the 1980s.

I think having best reliever shut down the heart of the order and then paving way for another guy is a defensible strategy, plus Chapman did have the day of rest. There is no tomorrow after tomorrow so everyone is gonna pitch until their arms fall off anyway. I get the angst but I also see the rationale. Depending on how many runs are scored in the 9th for the Cubs I could see them using someone else to mop up.
Rice CubeQuote Reply
Even knowing how worthless Joe is managing a bullpen, I’m amazed that Chapman came into the game and questioning Maddon’s sanity that he’s still pitching. Hopefully the Cubs win the series in 6.

I mean, part of the reason I was excited about the 7-run lead is that they wouldn’t have to use Chapman and he’d be good for three innings or so in game 7.

I’m glad the Cubs got to Tomlin this time, at least. That last start was embarrassing.

Thanks for the great night folks. This is the most fun I’ve had on OV/ACB since the great Harden/Bush gamethread of aught seven.
