OSS: Comeback Cubs blast their way to another late win.

It was Anthony Rizzo's turn for thrilling heroics today. After going 0-4 with a strikeout and a walk on the day, Rizzo deposited a
JaredMichael Lorenzen pitch in the right field seats to tie up the game. Maybe the World Series hangover is that the Cubs got too addicted to winning games late. - Baez and Heyward also homered in this game. Heyward's in particular was a no-doubt rocket, which is yet another encouraging sign for an offensive rebound this season.
- Following up Rizzo in offensive WPA was Kyle Schwarber, who doubled in the ninth, scored on Rizzo's home run, and singled in the eleventh to set up the sac fly that plated the winning run.
Three down
- Kris Bryant drove in the winning run with a sac fly, but it was generally another rough day for him.
- Lester was knocked around for nine hits and five runs in less than six innings, including a two run double by the opposing pitcher. Not great.
- Not nearly as not great as Justin Grimm though, who came in relief of Lester and promptly walked the next two batters, forcing in a run.
Next up
Jake Arrieta faces Cody Reed at 12:10 PM CT, or at least in whatever window they can find around the rain in the forecast.
