Did I mention that Marlins are going to suck this year? I think I may not have given you the impression that they are as horrible as they are.

I’m glad Schwarber is in there.
dmick89Quote Reply
Samsonite! I was way off.
Rice CubeQuote Reply
I don’t know which makes me happier: that Schwarber is getting to face a LHP or that Heyward isn’t.
PerkinsQuote Reply
Hendricks regularly hitting 88. He was lucky to top 85-86 early last season. He was regularly hitting 84.
dmick89Quote Reply
Hendricks and Lester throwing about as hard as each other this year is… interesting.
MylesQuote Reply
Runs, please.
dmick89Quote Reply
Bryant!!!
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Thank you.
dmick89Quote Reply
KBoom!
MylesQuote Reply
You’d think with all the baseball that has been played they’d have a greater variety of clips to show during commercials.
dmick89Quote Reply
dmick89,
The ad sales on mlb.tv are always weirdly slow

Berselius is too lazy to log in on his phone,
Though I do like that they tend to backfill with classic mlb clips.
berseliusQuote Reply
berselius,
After seeing the same clip for the 5th time in less than 12 innings of baseball, I’m not so sure. There is so much baseball and so many great plays. It shouldn’t be hard to make sure that the same clip isn’t seen twice in a game or even twice in a week for that matter.
dmick89Quote Reply
dmick89,
If they showed nothing but the Henry Aaron clip, I would be happy (dying laughing)
berseliusQuote Reply
La Stella screwed if Gameday is to be believed.
ceruleanQuote Reply
More runs would have been nice by now, but I find Hendricks’ performance to be adequate.
ceruleanQuote Reply
If they wanted to make sure you never saw the same thing twice, they could just show all of the errors by Ryan Theriot
MylesQuote Reply
dmick89Quote Reply
Good thing the Marlins aren’t paying their relievers on a per letter basis.
dmick89Quote Reply
More runs, please.
dmick89Quote Reply
Why does anyone swing against Edwards?
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
berseliusQuote Reply
Rizzo the Rat,
I’ve been asking that for three years.
dmick89Quote Reply
CJ is getting squeezed now. Ugh.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
I never doubted him for a second.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
That went better than I expected.
dmick89Quote Reply
This is the 7th time I’ve seen the JD Martinez four homer game clip this game.
dmick89Quote Reply
Come on, Riz.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Sigh.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Nice catch.

Eddie Butler is the Cubs’ worst pitcher and should not be used with the game on the line unless no-one else is available.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Oh wait, I forgot, it’s a tie game on the road.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Does MLB not own the rights to more than 20 highlights or something?
dmick89Quote Reply
Let’s win this thing in 12.
North Side PatQuote Reply
Eddie Butler actually looked pretty good coming out of the pen, which is a sentence I did not expect to write.
Berselius is too lazy to log in on his phoneQuote Reply
I wish “enough already” were fitting, but I have had enough of nothing.
I got an idea—they should start extras with a man on second!
ceruleanQuote Reply
cerulean,
I’m thinking by the 12th it should at least be 2nd and 3rd.
dmick89Quote Reply
Start with two men on second and play Yakety Sax.
ceruleanQuote Reply
Marlins are trying their best to lose. Eddie Butler doesn’t mind.
ceruleanQuote Reply
Let’s win this thing in 13.
North Side PatQuote Reply
I must say, early returns on the bullpen are adequate.
ceruleanQuote Reply
cerulean,
I still want to see how they do against Major League hitters.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
For God’s sake, do something.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
*yawn*

Let’s win this thing in 14.

dmick89,
It’s hilarious to me that his pop time is visibly slower than Willson’s, even to my untrained eye.
mobile daveQuote Reply
Fixed.
ceruleanQuote Reply
Heyward is good at fielding.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
I think Zobrist could pitch at least three scoreless against this team. It’s too bad Castro could probably do the same.
dmick89Quote Reply
Let’s win this thing in 15. Or 21. But preferably 15.
North Side PatQuote Reply
A baserunner!
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Bryant breaks up the no-hitter.
ceruleanQuote Reply
Touch the bag, Kris.

Dammit.

Cueto doing a thing in LA.
PerkinsQuote Reply
I can think of a few…
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
FFS, let’s win this thing in 16.
North Side PatQuote Reply
In retrospect, Joe probably shouldn’t have used Montgomery for just one inning.
PerkinsQuote Reply
You jinxed it
ceruleanQuote Reply
Score some fucking runs.
dmick89Quote Reply
(dying laughing)
ceruleanQuote Reply
Butler does it all.
dmick89Quote Reply
Well, not anymore.
PerkinsQuote Reply
C’mon Javy.
EDIT: What a terrible bunt.
North Side PatQuote Reply
Ugh.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Swing the fucking bat.
mobile daveQuote Reply
What was that?
dmick89Quote Reply
O’Grady really brings the medium temperature.
ceruleanQuote Reply
Cubs have K’d 19 times tonight.
EDIT: 20 per Len, so my app is lying to me. Only the 5th time they’ve struck out 20 or more times.
North Side PatQuote Reply
At least it’s in an extra 7 innings beyond regulation.
PerkinsQuote Reply
Remember when Kerry Wood struck out 20 in a game? It was nearly that many years ago.
ceruleanQuote Reply
That was a baseball game I recently enjoyed.
PerkinsQuote Reply
North Side Pat,
That’s all? Seems like 25 at least.
dmick89Quote Reply
Castro robbed.
ceruleanQuote Reply
dmick89,
It was the same year as the Brant Brown game.
ceruleanQuote Reply
The jig is up.
mobile daveQuote Reply
This game won’t end and now they’re playing Mmmmmmmbop in this bar and I want to die
mobile daveQuote Reply
I was at that Brant Brown game in ‘98. Talk about a long drive back to Chicago…
North Side PatQuote Reply
Fuck
North Side PatQuote Reply
cerulean,
I meant it seemed like at least 25 strikeouts. Did I respond to the wrong comment? I’m and idiot so that’s possible.
dmick89Quote Reply
That was a pretty horseshit game.
PerkinsQuote Reply
That was predictable.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Morrow’s got your relief.
ceruleanQuote Reply
dmick89,
It felt like 2500 strikeouts.
North Side PatQuote Reply
North Side Pat,
I too was there with my dad—but we had to leave as the ninth got started to get home in time for something or other. We missed the most memorable part, but Ron’s call was priceless.
ceruleanQuote Reply
dmick89,
Nope. I misread the response. The brain sees what it wants to see, not what’s actually there.
EDIT: You’re still an idiot though. Birds of a feather, you know? (dying laughing)
ceruleanQuote Reply
I thought it was tough luck for Hendricks to pitch so well and get a no decision. Then Butler outpitched him and got the loss.
