    Trent Brown and a 5 for NE’s 3. I like it. I bet they try to use on or two of their 3rds to move up in the second for a pass rusher.

    Mucker,

    Landry is the better bender while Sweat is the more complete EDGE. I feel like Sweat has a higher floor and ceiling than Landry while Landry is more likely to make an impact in the NFL if that makes sense.

    There are apparent issues with all the EDGEs left, so I’d say you could definitely move back and have a good shot at one. That position, though, is like QB for me. If you like one, get him while you can.

    I like it more now that Brown is traded. Their OL depth was going to get pretty thin. Probably need to devote at least one more pick to it.

    Both. Definite need at T after the Brown trade today, but at least one G spot needs an upgrade (enjoy editing that one).

    I don’t know about PIT, man. Several better Ss on the board. At least SEA makes a little sense (Penny’s different from the other runners available), but they would’ve been better off trying to move back and accumulate picks (I don’t think they have any picks today).

    I, for one, am looking forward to the rationalizations of Brewers fans who say the Brewers really *should* have won the division, but for several one run wins.

    I’m not looking forward to a division so close that’s even a possible excuse for losing the division. If the Cubs win the division by as much as they should, I don’t think too many people will be saying that it’s the one run losses that cost them the division.

    Harper had one of the greatest seasons in history, but he does not play a premium position and isn’t a premium defender at his position. Machado is three months older and a far more dynamic player. If Russell’s bat remains nonexistent, I think I want Machado.

    Harper by a long way, but I don’t think the Cubs are going to go after either player. If you’re going to give out an 8 year contract or longer, Harper is definitely the better bet to be valuable down the road. The guy is walking in almost 30% of his plate appearances this season. His BABIP is only .200. Both will regress back to where we’d expect, but the fact he can even walk in close to 30% of his PA in a month of the season is crazy.

    If Russell and Schwarber both end up being roughly 2-3 WAR players, the Cubs can probably improve in wiser ways than going after guys like Harper and Machado.
