We just saw this team and I’m half asleep, so this will be even less preview content than usual (dying laughing).
Pitching Matchups
Friday: Justin Steele, LHP vs Brandon Pfaadt, RHP, 8:40 PM CT
Saturday: Cyle Hendricks, RHP vs Zach Davies, RHP, 7:10 PM CT
Sunday: Jordan Wicks, LHP vs Ryne Nelson, RHP, 6:10 PM CT
Unlike the series last week, the Cubs are dodging Zac Gallen and Merrill Kelley, by far the Dbacks best starters, and are throwing their arguably three best starters themselves. Score some runs, fellas. Or don’t. I can’t tell you what to do.

I get it that jinxes arenβt a thing. But. I donβt get why the tv guys would call it ironic that a pitcher who gives up a ton of homers would face a pitcher who gives up very few homers while the Cubs were in the field and no homers had been hit. Thatβs a comment you make after a homer. Sometimes I hate these guys.

berseliusQuote Reply
berselius,
I suppose I should apologize for the near unconditional positivity, the goalposts have obviously moved though and I think we were justified to be somewhat greedy despite the preseason expectations. The good news is that if they decide to win tonight, the Cubs will retain their cushion and will hopefully find a way to navigate these final two weeks. It really has been a lot more fun this season even with the frustration from this slump.

ESPN broadcasts suck for various reasons, but the ridiculous overkill of replays is maybe the most annoying. They just showed five replays of Wisdomβs routine warning-track F7. I feel like Iβm playing a video game with someone who refuses to hit X after they homer. Itβs ok to move on, guys.
