If you aren’t confident in Amaya’s arm throwing out a guy at 2B, it probably isn’t a fast enough throw to allow a cut off and attempt to cut down the guy coming home either. The Cubs are in a bit of a pickle in that sense.

You’ve got a guy on 3rd who is very likely to score, so you let the trailing runner move into scoring position as well? No, no, uh uh.
