Rizzo the Rat,
I though Rizzo’s was gone.
dmick89Quote Reply
dmick89,
Based on his premature pimpage, so did I.
SKQuote Reply
As did I. He doesn’t hit that many to the opposite field, though.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
I like these uniforms. 1981 was when I started watching the Cubs and I’ve always thought highly of these.
dmick89Quote Reply
Gray looks like he’s in high school.
SKQuote Reply
dmick89,
Didn’t like them at the time but they look better now. Probably because of better fabric and a better cut, plus guys wearing them better with more high socks etc. Also way fewer pornstaches.
SKQuote Reply
Come on, Jorge.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
That sucked.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
It doesn’t make sense for Zobrist to run, but not Russell.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Ugh
SKQuote Reply
Sigh.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
SK,
I still don’t like that elastic waistband.
SKQuote Reply
Come on, Bryzzo.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Bloops are fine. That’s my specialty.
SKQuote Reply
Zobrist!
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Kneel before Zob?
berseliusQuote Reply
Ibid
SKQuote Reply
Zo knows!
ceruleanQuote Reply
Not crazy about Zo as a nickname. Seems like Benzo would be obvious, but I can see why he wouldn’t like that.
SKQuote Reply
Strikes, please.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Too many pitches, Jake.
ceruleanQuote Reply
cerulean,
Those double play balls helped.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Is this the first time Contreras has caught Arrieta ?
SKQuote Reply
That’s better.
ceruleanQuote Reply
SK,
Montero is behind the dish.
ceruleanQuote Reply
SK,
Montero is catching.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
It should he Benny, of course.
dmick89Quote Reply
Not enough pitches, Gray.
ceruleanQuote Reply
cerulean,
Rizzo the Rat,
I knew that. You both passed the test.
SKQuote Reply
More strikes, please.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Gray is done already. Interesting.

Damn high wall.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
I’ll take it!
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Soler!
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Jorge!!!
dmick89Quote Reply
Healy is an absolute butcher at third.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Rizzo the Rat,
He should never have signed that endorsement deal with Henckels that forced him to use a meat cleaver in place of a glove.
berseliusQuote Reply
How crazy am I for putting Addy’s HOF chances at 20-25%?
Myles HandleyQuote Reply
Myles Handley,
Pretty crazy.
dmick89Quote Reply
Shut me right up.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
I’ll take it. I want to do research. He is just so young to be this valuable. Im also blind with love.
Myles HandleyQuote Reply
Myles Handley,
Mike Trout may not have had as high a chance to reach the HOF after a year and a half. He probably didn’t.
dmick89Quote Reply
dmick89,
Disagree on Trout. MVP talents that young are very very rare. The only thing that could have stopped him is a freak injury.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Third time Rizzo just missed a homer.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
They should have scored at least eight runs. What a disappointment smh.
ceruleanQuote Reply
Braves up 4-0
dmick89Quote Reply
dmick89,
7-3
dmick89Quote Reply
braves bullpen trying to blow it.
dmick89Quote Reply
Amusing, but wrong.
Smokestack LightningQuote Reply
The Braves have four home runs today. That’s, like, a good month for them.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
dmick89,
Cardinals bullpen to the rescue!
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Fixed.
ceruleanQuote Reply
The Giants are beating (up) the Natinals 7–1. In reality, they are the team that is the biggest threat to the Cubs’ postseason position.
ceruleanQuote Reply
cerulean,
Because it’s an even-numbered year?
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
The Nationals, I mean. (dying laughing)
ceruleanQuote Reply
The Giants are also a threat, but the Nationals by record and run differential are the only ones even approaching the class of the Cubs.
ceruleanQuote Reply
Cardinals ——> 10.5GB
PerkinsQuote Reply
cerulean,
The Nats are the better team on paper. But I’ve learned not to bet against even-year magic.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Rizzo the Rat,
I am speaking of seeding. The Giants do quite well as underdogs in the postseason, but they are less of a threat to topple the Cubs for the best record in the league (even though the briefly held the best record a number of weeks ago).
ceruleanQuote Reply
Nationals —> 3.5 GB
ceruleanQuote Reply
According to 538, the Cubs are favored to win every game for the rest of the season. 121 wins sounds pretty nice. (dying laughing)
PerkinsQuote Reply
Clayton Richard gave up a run in his return to the Padres.
