These teams have already played 4 innings' worth of games, but they will go for the quick turnaround today. I'm frankly shocked to see so many regulars in there today – if any day calls for a Schwarber day off, it's this one. Quintana is a flyball pitcher, and Peters is a lefty. If I were the manager, Baez would be the SS, Zobrist would be the 2B, Happ would be the LF, and Almora would be the CF (Rizzo and Bryant would almost never sit under any circumstance). In the scheme of things, it's relatively unimportant.
What is important is for Quintana to go as deep as he possibly can. If the Cubs can avoid using more than 2 relievers, I'll feel really good about this game (assuming we win).

It’s not as if swinging has been working for them, either.

That play should have been made.

Two-out intentional walks are lame.

These umps are a play about pieces of feces.

This might be the worst overall umpiring crew in the league and this series is a stack of dildos.

Quintana is going to have to strike people out every once in a while if he wants to succeed.

At least this won’t go to extra innings.

This has been a series I recently did not enjoy.

Infield hits, fielder’s choices, and headfirst slides into first are exciting for this team.

Zero runs. Sounds like it was an exciting game.

The Marlins were my pick to go all the way this year, so coming away with a tie is all I could ask for.

cerulean,
No runs, but it had two infield hits with headfirst slides. Those don’t show up in the box score, but are just as important as runs scored and wins.

As much of an apologist as I am for this front office, it sure doesn’t take long for me to hate the teams they build.
Four games in, and I already can’t stand these sons of bitches. Even quicker than last year.
