They’ll either win or they’ll lose, there’s a good chance the Cubs finish April under .500 and everyone calls for Counsell’s head or something, but this month’s schedule is rough
I feel like most of us were pissed off that Chapman was overused in Game 6 and then was obviously on fumes in Game 7, the stupid wild pitch that scored two runs when Ross came in was a doom moment too…thank the baseball gods that they decided to take pity upon us.
Should have left Cyle in longer. Joe was dead set on getting Lester in the game no matter what and went against his own plan by bringing him in mid inning.
Should have left Cyle in longer. Joe was dead set on getting Lester in the game no matter what and went against his own plan by bringing him in mid inning.
One other infuriating thing is Cyle looked like heβd gotten out of the inning with a looking strikeout but the umpire called it a ball. He probably could have gotten through 6 if that call shifted.
And yeah Chapman in the 9th with a big lead in game 6 was inexcusable after heβd gone 2.2 to save game 5.
Well, Frankie Montas is on my fakeball team as a RP, so maybe not give up any runs until after he’s out, or just lose the next 3-4 games when other SPs are in.
Iβm assuming itβs a hamstring, but Iβve also seen enough of guys walk off under their own power on their way to a torn-ACL diagnosis to know itβs not all that reassuring.
Holding the Rangers to 4 runs is good
Only scoring 3 runs when the ump gifts you one is not so good but I would say there were a few strikes and bounces that didn’t go the Cubs way
Not sure why vaunted cardinals free agent signing of cromulence, Kyle Somethingorother, isn’t starting in their opening series despite Gray being hurt π€
The feeling is if they’re officially calling him up today, Brown is an emergency long reliever and if they don’t use him as such, he can take what would have been Steele’s next start
