Not much to go on for Hendricks vs. the Dodgers batters, but here you go anyway.
This is Urias's second start in his career and he obviously has not faced the Cubs.
Will the Cubs win? No.
538 Forecast: 64% chance of winning

Uncharacteristically decisive there, game thread poster.

No Cubs win?
Rice CubeQuote Reply
It could go either way
berseliusQuote Reply
Cubs are winless against 19-year old pitchers in the last decade plus, so I believe it.
MylesQuote Reply
I have a feeling Baez goes deep off Urias.
JonKneeVQuote Reply
More like it.
SKQuote Reply
It’s been even longer since the last time the Cubs beat a teenage left-handed starting pitcher for the Dodgers. I didn’t come to my conclusion without thinking deeply about it.

Good enough for now.

Another great start for Hendricks.

If everyone hits a home run off of Urias, how good was JKV’s prediction?

dmick89,
Exactly the same.

The Cubs need superfluous and middling middle infield help. Do you think he’s available?
ceruleanQuote Reply
I’d be pinch hitting for Hendricks here. Not sure why he’s batting.
dmick89Quote Reply
So he can give up a weak, infield single to start the 7th and then get fearfully yanked.
Smokestack LightningQuote Reply
Dude, Neifi saved the 2005 Cubs.
SKQuote Reply
SK,
Remember the campaign by Cubs fans to get him voted onto the all star team?
dmick89Quote Reply
I believe the erstwhile Cubs Blog Army got behind that.
SKQuote Reply
SK,
Possibly started by Al.

Pretty awesome when you comfortably beat a decent team with one of your best hitters taking a day off and your fifth starter on the mound.
SKQuote Reply
“fifth starter”
uncle daveQuote Reply
Nice to see Joe finally trust Hendricks to let him go deep these last two starts.

SK,
You’ve been playing The Show too, haven’t you? I finally turned them off when I could predict their exact words. Now Pat and Ron narrate in my head.
joshQuote Reply
Yeah, this team is awesome.
dmick89Quote Reply
josh,
My favorite is when Eric Karros says “…not only has he not allowed a hit, he hasn’t allowed a single baserunner. You can’t get much better than that.”
SKQuote Reply
SK,
I got annoyed because I had a 20K game with Arrieta and they didn’t say a damn thing. I also get annoyed that you can’t look up your hitters OBP, because NERRRRD

The Cubs have beat my expectations (5–2) with a 6–1 start to this homstand. 8–2 is a likely outcome. This is nice.

I’m hoping for 9-1. I’m greedy.

Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Rizzo the Rat,

dmick89Quote Reply
The Pirates have no hits through 6, but they’ve hit the ball hard several times.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
The Yankees are increasingly desperate for offense. They miraculously just squeaked a run across on one hit. Oh, look Starlin got another. I really have a good feeling about Vogelbach being a good masher for them in the near future.
ceruleanQuote Reply
Ichiro just stole a base!
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
I love how the Marlins’ closer pronounces his surname “bear claw.”
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
That said, Bear Claw’s Marmol-esque walk rates make me nervous.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Crap. Bear Claw blew the save.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Rizzo the Rat,
Bear Claw kind of sucks.
dmick89Quote Reply
Wait, Neftali Feliz is good again?
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Ok, new trade idea, ’cause these are fun:
Jason Hammel, Jorge Soler, Dan Vogelbach, and Donnie Dewees to the Yankees for LHPs Andrew Miller, Jordan Montgomery, and James Pazos plus RHP Cale Coshow. Trading strength for strength. Adam Warren slots into the rotation. Miller (and maybe Pazos) to the pen. Montgomery and Coshow create starting pitching depth that can miss bats. Yankees get good rotation help and desperately needed bats that can play now and are cheap plus some depth.
ceruleanQuote Reply
Pirates lose.

’Rat’s lose.
