Omaha Storm Chasers 2 @ Iowa Cubs 4
Philip Glass, born January 31, 1937, is an American composer. His music, sometimes described as minimal music, is some of the most influential of the 20th century. Prolific is his work, he was written operas, musical theatre works, symphonies, concertos, solo works, chamber music, and film scores. He has been nominated for 3 Academy Awards (Kundun, The Hours, Notes on a Scandal). He also won a Golden Globe for his score of The Truman Show.

The reason Philip Glass is important to me is because he is who I (incorrectly) guessed for the last question in a quiz bowl match versus Andrean High School, junior year. The question asked for the composer of 4'33'', which is John Cage. I guessed Glass, the other team guessed Cage (for 2 points), and we lost by 1. It was the finals of our tournament. Fuck Philip Glass.

Tennessee Smokies 5 @ Chattanooga Lookouts 0
Javier Baez' BA fell to .299 here, but he did walk (the only one on the team!) and had an RBI. Arismendy Alcantara doubled and tripled, which is awesome. Christian Villanueva had his 24th error of the season, but also homered for the 17th time, so it's fine. Justin Bour, Rubi Silva, and John Andreoli also doubled.
The Smokies combined for a one-hitter in this one. Neil Ramirez, newly acquired from the Rangers, went 4.2 innings and allowed a hit. He walked 2 and struck 5 out. P.J. Francescon went 1.1 innings and struck out 3, walking 1. Yeiper Castillo was perfect over the last 3.
Daytona Cubs 3 @ Brevard County Manatees 2
Kris Bryant had an off day in this one. Dan Vogelbach struck out, walked, and doubled in this one. Bijan Rademacher doubled also. Zeke DeVoss had a pair of walks.
Corey painted the Black in this one (holy shit that pun is terrible), striking out 6 in 6 and walking none. He allowed a run on 3 hits. Jeffrey Lorick allowed the same in 3 innings.
Kane County Cougars 2 @ Cedar Rapids Kernels 5
Marco Hernandez had a pair of singles in this one. No one really had a standout performance (maybe a double and walk from Rock Shoulders?), though only Jose Dore failed to get on base one way or the other.

None of those guys are prospects. Daury Torrez could become one (and he was promoted to KC directly from the AZL), but not at the moment.
Salem-Keizer Volcanoes 10 @ Boise Hawks 8
Kevin Encarncion is on FIRE right now. Over his last 10, he's hitting .457/.490/.783. Ever since he was demoted from KC, he's absolutely murdered the ball, to the tune of .368/.443/.574. That'll get you back on the right track. He went 2-5 with a home run and 4 RBI yesterday. Shawon Dunston, having a real nice season, went 2-4 with a walk. Danny Lockhart singled and doubled as well. Carlos Penalver also had a pair of hits.
Paul Blackburn struggled, allowing 5 in 3. Only 1 was earned, but a Jordan Hankins error doesn't lead to 4 additional runs. Loiger Padron shat the game away with 5 runs in 7 outs, and Tyler Bremer/Eddie Orozco were stellar in 3.2 combined innings of relief.
DSL Tigers 7 @ DSL Cubs 5
AZL Cubs 8 @ AZL D-backs 1
Ryan Sweeney went 2-4 with a double and walk, and Luis Valbuena went 3-4 with a double and a SB. It was the last game of the season for Arizona.

This place is a ghost town on Fridays. That’s surprising because I don’t want to do anything at work on a Friday so I scour the internet all day long (dying laughing)

John Cage is my favorite. Biggest troll ever. He had a song that was just him dismantling a piano on stage.

The movie about the school principal in the inner city? Was it Chicago? Yeah. Saw it years ago. But i don’t remember any lines. Music and movies were my least capable quiz bowl subjects.
