Since Rice Cube is all motivated and stuff, he got a few of us together to talk about the 2022 Cubs and beyond. Witness Berselius’s realization that he doesn’t have to think like Dave Dombrowski anymore!
(dying laughing), the other one is what we need to get things to show up in our feed. When I first made it last night it wasn’t showing up as a separate post on the main page.
I’ve got it uploaded separately here – I think our podcast plugin looks for the mp3 file attached to the post and does whatever needs doing for it to appear in the itunes feed.
Maybe I should delete it from our feed though – things like ‘segments’ and ‘bumper music’ might make people think we are vaguely professional here (dying laughing).
Having QA’d it on the first pass to take out all the extraneous silences and random mouth sounds and phrases that got cut off because our connections and/or Zoom is dumb, I think this one works pretty well and we did get it under an hour so yay
I was kinda bummed to see Cleveland beat Tampa, but pretty happy about Seattle and Philly. Still not a fan of this format, though. I thought the 2012-21 model was pretty good.
I should request, from anyone who bothered to listen to this episode, any feedback or suggestions for content or improvement for the next time I can get the jabronis together for an episode
On a similar note, I’d love to see the Barves go down early both because of the tomahawk chop shit and because I’m still kinda pissed they broke Alfonso Soriano’s wrist back in 2008.

The one you did at http://www.obstructedview.net/podcast/podcast-with-dreamcast/ also seems to work, I just figure if I’m gonna pay for a hosting service they might as well show the cute podcast player (dying laughing)

berselius,
I wonder if we are allowed to cross the streams, since our Dreamcast is on our own RSS feed but I admit I have no idea what I’m doing most of the time

Postseason schedule is pretty cramped with not as many travel days prior to the World Series https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/2022-mlb-playoffs-schedule-game-times-tv-channel-live-stream-format-as-wild-card-series-kicks-off-friday/

As mentioned in the pod, sure is frustrating that Q posted a sub-3.00 ERA again as soon as he left the Cubs.

One thing we didn’t have time to talk about was how MLB.tv is essentially useless for the postseason

Perkins,
I think based on how many fans in the crowd continues to wear the old Cleveland garb with Chief Wahoo on it that I hope they get destroyed in the ALDS
