I get that Dodgers are the better team but 39% seems low
Rice CubeQuote Reply
Rice Cube,
Kershaw plays a big part in that number, but it doesn’t take into account the fact that Kiké Hernandez is batting cleanup. .215/.328/.421 slash line on the season, so of course he’ll hit two HRs (dying laughing).
berseliusQuote Reply
For some reason I never recommended this site to my Cub fan son until now. I wonder if he’ll see this comment (dying laughing)
SKQuote Reply
I am looking forward to Wisconsin going to the Big Ten championship game undefeated and losing by six touchdowns.
berseliusQuote Reply
SK,
I think you just un-discredited us.
berseliusQuote Reply
Verlander is having an okay game.
berseliusQuote Reply
berselius,
I’m glad he re-emerged as an ace last year.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Wow, the throw beat him by a mile, but he still scored.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Verlander pitching like it’s 2012.
PerkinsQuote Reply
Rizzo the Rat,
Bad relay throw
Rice CubeQuote Reply
Rice Cube,
The throw still beat Altuve by plenty. Sanchez just dropped it.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Good…game…? (dying laughing)
MylesQuote Reply
I’m taking dodgers_in_6.
dmick89Quote Reply
Good lord, I forgot about that fucking strikeout organ bullshit at Dodger stadium.
berseliusQuote Reply
Yeah KB

MylesQuote Reply
Anderson is an improvement on EJ, too bad we still have Darling though.
berseliusQuote Reply
Juuuust a bit outside on that strike
berseliusQuote Reply
Love that curveball
berseliusQuote Reply
I’m gonna need a fact check on that RISP stat the announcers just dropped (dying laughing)
berseliusQuote Reply
Sometimes I forget just how much better Kershaw is than your run-of-the-mill #1 starter.
MylesQuote Reply
Looks like it’s a big zone today
berseliusQuote Reply
Nice takes, Javy. But you probably should have swung at that last one.
ceruleanQuote Reply
Runs, please.
dmick89Quote Reply
DP-licious
ceruleanQuote Reply
berselius,
Throw it near the plate.
dmick89Quote Reply
Quintana looking good. I am happy for that quick inning.
ceruleanQuote Reply
Quintana!
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Q!
ceruleanQuote Reply
I can’t believe they didn’t give Quintana a chance to steal.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
I think that curve did a loop-de-loop on the way to the mitt.
ceruleanQuote Reply
Damn, thought he got a lot more of that one. KB looking good vs Kershaw so far.
berseliusQuote Reply
Same with Rizz.
ceruleanQuote Reply
I will never tire of jam-shot grounders that KB has to field coming in then throwing to first.
ceruleanQuote Reply
Ball three to Almora.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
And he swung at ball four.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Almora!!!!!!
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Almora!!!
dmick89Quote Reply
Al-Al!!

Whew.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Almora again!
ceruleanQuote Reply
More runs, please.
dmick89Quote Reply
Quintana is looking really good.
dmick89Quote Reply
I’d say “screw the closer,” but I don’t think he’d mind another night off.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Instead of Avila and Wilson, I wish the Cubs had picked up Verlander. But there is one midseason trade I remain pleased with so far.
ceruleanQuote Reply
Stop walking people.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
This isn’t good.
MylesQuote Reply
Need a DP in a bad way.
MylesQuote Reply
Ugh.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Goddamnit
PerkinsQuote Reply
Fuck. Quintana is so out of gas
MylesQuote Reply
Blerg. At least Kershaw is out. It’s a good thing it’s a night game, because they would have to turn the lights on to counteract the amount of shade Darling just threw at him.
berseliusQuote Reply
What the shit is up with Cubs pitchers just randomly losing the strike zone?
FonteYESQuote Reply
Cingrani coming in, time for some fastballs.
berseliusQuote Reply
Darling is a meathead. I have heard enough.
ceruleanQuote Reply
The Cubs wrecked Maeda last year, hopefully that continues here.
berseliusQuote Reply
Ugh again.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Not great.
berseliusQuote Reply
Hendricks confirmed as game 3 starter.
berseliusQuote Reply
This briefly felt like a winnable game.
dmick89Quote Reply
#neverRondon 🙁

cerulean,

berseliusQuote Reply
Strikes.
berseliusQuote Reply
This bullpen is useless.
dmick89Quote Reply
dmick89,
I’m kind of shocked that we’ve seen no sign of Lackey. I guess Joe’s planning to have him backstop Lester.
berseliusQuote Reply
#JavyTag, though I think he’s safe anyway.
berseliusQuote Reply
I would have left Quintana in. #hindsightManaging
ceruleanQuote Reply
Still very much winnable.
ceruleanQuote Reply
Jesus, Javy.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
“Matter of fact, the Dodgers are back [to the NLCS] for the third time in five years.”
And no mention of it being the third consecutive NLCS for the Cubs. smh
ceruleanQuote Reply
cerulean,
Technically.
dmick89Quote Reply
cerulean,
That was an obvious mistake and has been mentioned in a thousand articles the past couple days.
dmick89Quote Reply
I’d be okay with the Cubs releasing all their relievers this offseason and starting over.
dmick89Quote Reply
Im actually relieved to see Lackey.
dmick89Quote Reply
Sigh.
ceruleanQuote Reply
Weirdest thing.
ceruleanQuote Reply
This will be overturned.
dmick89Quote Reply
Gah.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Why is Joe arguing? It was reversed on replay.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Get your money’s worth, Joe.
berseliusQuote Reply
And GFTO Ron Darling.
berseliusQuote Reply
I’m watching at a bar with no sound but that tag at home seemed unequivocal. Why did that call get overturned?
EnricoPallazzoQuote Reply
Helluva throw by Schwarbs
BVSQuote Reply
EnricoPallazzo,
The catcher has to give the runner a lane.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
EnricoPallazzo,
They said Contreras blocked the lane. Buster posey rule came into play.
BVSQuote Reply
So much fuck.
ceruleanQuote Reply
Did they say willson blocked the plate or something?
EnricoPallazzoQuote Reply
Ah, ok that makes sense. Blows though.
EnricoPallazzoQuote Reply
I’d have let Q start the next inning fwiw. But it might not have mattered.
Anyway, Dave Martinez is managing the bullpen now…
BVSQuote Reply
(dying laughing), everyone on the team other than Almora has a negative WPA.
berseliusQuote Reply
Well, at least we’ve seen a lot of Watson
BVSQuote Reply
Is everyone else also unable to use the reply/quote buttons on a mobile device or is it just my piece of shit blackberry?
EnricoPallazzoQuote Reply
Rondon is probably better than any Cubs starter the third time through the order, so I was fine with the move.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
No problem here.
Berselius is too lazy to log inQuote Reply
Only the very best starters should be allowed to face the lineup a third time in important close games.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Rizzo the Rat,
Yeah, I don’t mind it either. Unlike those NLDS games, I don’t think there’s much to complain about with Joe in this one. Maybe Lackey should have been the first guy out of the pen, but *shrug*.
berseliusQuote Reply
Those still exist? You work for the fed govt?
BVSQuote Reply
Kenley going for four outs with a three-run lead?
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Not something I expected to ever write but here we are (dying laughing).
berseliusQuote Reply
Two out rally against Jansen would be nice.
ceruleanQuote Reply
They’ve even phased them out where I work (dying laughing).
berseliusQuote Reply
Does KB have an issue with dry eyes? He’s always squinting and blinking.
BVSQuote Reply
BVS,
Too much #sparkle must be blinding him.
berseliusQuote Reply
berselius,

BVSQuote Reply
@bvs yep they still make them and no not a fed, bought one of my own volition. I would post a gif of tobias yelling “there are dozens of us” but…ya know…i can’t do it from a blackberry.
EnricoPallazzoQuote Reply
That was some DP.
ceruleanQuote Reply
I’ll make the Dodgers a deal: They quit winning now, and I’ll give up my Elijah Craig and start drinking Estrella Jalisco to please their advertiser.
