JonKneeV,
Don’t tell me what to do.
dmick89Quote Reply
Pete Rose is kind of an idiot.
dmick89Quote Reply
Oh great, Jeff Garlin. (dying laughing)
dmick89Quote Reply
Ugh, Jeff Garlin.
berseliusQuote Reply
Let’s do this, Cyle.
berseliusQuote Reply
Good start
berseliusQuote Reply
Good start for Cyle.
PerkinsQuote Reply
Willson stole that strike
berseliusQuote Reply
berseliusQuote Reply
Great 1st for Hendricks.
dmick89Quote Reply
That was fun to watch. Wish they’d have shown a replay of it.
dmick89Quote Reply
Runs, please.
dmick89Quote Reply
Man, that’s one funky hesitation he’s got in his delivery

Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Shit.
PerkinsQuote Reply
Poop.

ceruleanQuote Reply
Barely 10 innings into the series, A-Gon has revealed himself as a nuisance.
ceruleanQuote Reply
Kershaw is good
berseliusQuote Reply
berselius,
Yeah, he’s going to throw a 90 pitch complete game tonight.
dmick89Quote Reply
Cubs lose.
dmick89Quote Reply
At least they’re moving away from recorded interviews.
berseliusQuote Reply
Cubs should try bunting a lot and see if they can force throwing errors or something. Kershaw looks good.
PerkinsQuote Reply
Anyone know where is a stream of the TV broadcast?
joshQuote Reply
(dying laughing) @ Utley
berseliusQuote Reply
More of the first inning, Kyle
berseliusQuote Reply
Strikes, please.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
That was a strikeout I recently enjoyed.
ceruleanQuote Reply
I’d pinch hit Soler for Heyward.
dmick89Quote Reply
josh,
I thought I saw someone post something somewhere.
JonKneeVQuote Reply
Why did Willson even bring his bat?
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Running up his pitch count by taking pitches isn’t working, guys.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
It might take 93 pitches.
ceruleanQuote Reply
Soler must not be healthy enough. There’s really no excuse to let Heyward bat against Kershaw if you are behind.
dmick89Quote Reply
JonKneeV,
Very helpful
joshQuote Reply
Okay, so every batter has had front row seats for the Kershaw Show. How about some action now?
ceruleanQuote Reply
Kershaw is going to throw a perfect game.
PerkinsQuote Reply
That was almost beautiful from Rizzo.
PerkinsQuote Reply
Perkins,
Yeah, that’s about the only question left for this game. Will the Cubs get a hit? Hard to believe Kershaw walks or hits anyone. I suppose there could be an error.
Go error!
dmick89Quote Reply
Ron Coomer is going to break his wrist tipping his cap to Kershaw
berseliusQuote Reply
Hendricks has looked pretty good tonight, but not very efficient.
PerkinsQuote Reply
The weather is supposed to be nice and warm in LA, per Len.
berseliusQuote Reply
I’m OK with inefficient. This lineup practically begs for a lefty reliever.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Probably jsut one more inning for Kyle, unless he comes up this inning
berseliusQuote Reply
Solid start by Kyle. Too bad he’s up against a HOF in his prime, and Cubs hitters look like they gave up three innings ago.
Smokestack LightningQuote Reply
It’d be awesome if he comes up this inning since the Cubs would probably have scored.
PerkinsQuote Reply
“Kershaw has been a little bit better,” is something Buck says of a perfect game through four. What’s Clayton gotta do to get any respect!? (dying laughing)
ceruleanQuote Reply
Smokestack Lightning,
Most of those hitters look like they gave up in September.
dmick89Quote Reply
Still on that minor-league season clock.
Smokestack LightningQuote Reply
That looked gone by Zobrist.
PerkinsQuote Reply
Cubs starting to square up Kershaw.
PerkinsQuote Reply
A hit!
berseliusQuote Reply
Javy!
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply

berseliusQuote Reply
Kershaw busts out the eephus for the pickoff (dying laughing)
berseliusQuote Reply
Willson!
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Gotta PH for Heyward here.
PerkinsQuote Reply
Baez is lucky he didn’t get TOOTBLAN’d there
berseliusQuote Reply
They’re letting Heyward bat here?
dmick89Quote Reply
berselius,
(dying laughing), I don’t think Utley and Seager were even looking at the ball
berseliusQuote Reply
Welp.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
I guess Joe gave up on this game too.
dmick89Quote Reply
That’s why you don’t start Heyward against Kershaw.
PerkinsQuote Reply
Two long flies, two base hits, Kershaw may be human after all.
ceruleanQuote Reply
Damn.
Ah well. Hits = hope. I like hope.
More hope, plz.
Smokestack LightningQuote Reply
If the Cubs don’t get the pitch count up, Kershaw could come back for game 5.
dmick89Quote Reply
Yeah, pretty stupid decision with Hendricks on the mound. It’s not like you’re relying on outfield defense with him on the mound.
dmick89Quote Reply
Soler in LF and Zobrist in RF would have made more sense.
PerkinsQuote Reply
nice job, Joe
GWQuote Reply
Hendricks is just trying to play a edges too much rather than working side to side and changing speeds like he normally does.
JonKneeVQuote Reply
I don’t understand Joe’s bullpen management here.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Decent outing for Kyle. Lot of walks considering a large zone, but the Cubs are in the game.
dmick89Quote Reply
Edwards?
berseliusQuote Reply
Rizzo the Rat,
Makes no sense.
dmick89Quote Reply
I think he was getting the edges more reliably in the first
berseliusQuote Reply
berseliusQuote Reply
Javy!
berseliusQuote Reply
Brilliant bullpen management, Joe.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Javy!!!
PerkinsQuote Reply
Seriously, smart play by Baez.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Edwards is fired up (dying laughing)
berseliusQuote Reply
I’m sure that’s what Joe had in mind.
dmick89Quote Reply
berselius,
(dying laughing)
dmick89Quote Reply
David Ross in RF would make more sense than Heyward. (dying laughing)
dmick89Quote Reply
Most likely explanation I’ve heard for why Maddon brought on a righty is that Puig is on the bench.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Baez is naturally left handed?
dmick89Quote Reply
Do your magic, third time through the order effect
berseliusQuote Reply
dmick89,
He used to be a switch hitter, but had to stick with hitting righty because his lefty swing is even more violent (dying laughing)
berseliusQuote Reply
Smokestack LightningQuote Reply
berselius,
I wanna see that. (dying laughing)
dmick89Quote Reply
Okay. Not getting no-hit. Now let’s try not to get Madduxed.
Smokestack LightningQuote Reply
According to this article, Javy stopped hitting lefty because of an injury: https://www.google.com/amp/www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/ct-cubs-javier-baez-tags-spt-1011-20161015-story,amp.html
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Now would be a good time for the middle of the order to report to the 2016 postseason.
dmick89Quote Reply
If Rizzo’s gets to 2nd with less than 2 outs, do you pinch run for him?
JonKneeVQuote Reply
A little too patient there, Ben.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Fuck, that was almost magical.
PerkinsQuote Reply
God damn it.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Dammit
WaLiQuote Reply

Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
cerulean,
You’re just now beginning to think that?
dmick89Quote Reply
Strike 1 to Fowler was ball 2.
PerkinsQuote Reply
Grandal really stole a strike there.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
Holy shit this ump man.
JonKneeVQuote Reply
Well damn. I didn’t expect them to win tonight, but that game felt winnable.
On the plus side, the rest of the Dodgers’ rotation looks pretty beatable.
PerkinsQuote Reply
Also that was a really shit strike zone in the 9th.
PerkinsQuote Reply
That game sucked.
dmick89Quote Reply
Grandal is considered one of the best pitch framers for a reason.
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
I am beginning to think that you are a bit incredulous.
ceruleanQuote Reply
What’s this? A playoff game finishing in under 3 hours?
Rizzo the RatQuote Reply
cerulean,
Down voted because its super annoying to read “Dying Laughing” for the zillionth time.

dmick89,

ceruleanQuote Reply
538 has the Cubs’ odds of winning the NLCS down to 56%. That’s about a 20% swing from before the game.
PerkinsQuote Reply
cerulean,
Almost. I think it was 2007 that it started, but it could have been late 2006.
dmick89Quote Reply
Perkins,
This was a pretty big game. I noticed that before the game started today. The Cubs don’t really have much of an advantage in the LA games. I didn’t expect to win tonight and it was a must win for the Dodgers, but it would have been nice to win this one. It’s basically a coin flip at this point.
dmick89Quote Reply
dmick89,
I like the Cubs in the next two games. My prediction is they beat Hill and Urias, lose to Kershaw on short rest in game 5, and win game 6 against Maeda/bullpen.
But it could go either way.
PerkinsQuote Reply
Perkins,
you never know.
berseliusQuote Reply
I’m also really glad I went last night and not tonight. That game was pretty crappy.
