I’ve been putting on more background 2016 Cubs postseason games, and the guy I miss the most from that team now has swapped from Rizzo to Dexter Fowler. Immaculate vibes.

    berselius,

Fowler did feel like a spark the team never really got back after 2016. Hendricks will probably always be my favorite. When they played him off to a reprise of β€œSweet Emotion” before Chapman took the mound in NLCS, chills every time.

Everyone who remembered Greinke and Mike Hampton won Silver Sluggers are special breeds

Can’t believe that KikΓ© Hernandez only made his debut in 2014. It feels like he’s been in the league for like 25 years.

The nice thing about a loss like that is I have a nice vacation from any sports radio or tv commentary for a week. I heard the play on the radio and won’t even watch it, like one of those gruesome broken-leg replays. I just can’t imagine wanting to hear what anyone has to say about it.

Shaq is on an all time marketing heater, managing to make me feel good thoughts to things as repugnant as printers, cruises, and papa John’s pizza (dying laughing)

Thor and Starlin were more popular than I expected.

Rooting for the (ugh) Yankees tonight, only because I don’t want to see the freaking WS decided on a Johnny Wholestaff pitching game.

I really wish there was a law prohibiting negative ads and forcing politicians to tell me why I should vote for them rather than vote against their opponent

There is apparently an article about the idiots who tried to mug Mookie last night and the caption I saw suggests that the Yankees haven’t banned him from the park yet which is just bonkers.

I’m not sure why all this uproar is making me actually lean towards the Yankees at this point (dying laughing). Must be Nate Silver trollish contrarianism in the air.

    Papi says Dodgers
    ARod and Jeter say Yankees

Feel like there’s a bias but theoretically Cole can pitch better than Flaherty so it’ll be up to the bullpens methinks
