We will bail out all banks, whether insolvent or not. It would not be fair to our best banks if only those irresponsible bankrupt ones get bailed out.

I would enter your bobblehead contest, but I already have the Kyuji bobblehead.
Did you guys notice the crack in the elbow that looks kind of like a TJS scar?

@ Rice Cube:
You can still enter and brag to your family and friends that you won an OV contest. That’s some immediate street cred right there.

“Derrek Lee has been named assistant federal reserve chairman….no, wait, breaking news….it seems Matt Cain has been…..no, now I’m hearing Ricky Nolasco….a very, very confusing day here on Wall Street…”

I’d love to see Alvin blog about Wall Street. It would be like The Onion, but better.

Come to think of it, BCB is already comparable to The Onion.

The only Fed Chair nominations that happen are the ones you don’t hear about, so you can ignore this rumor.

President Obama: “Mr. Yellon, I understand your reluctance to continue with the bond buying program and perilously low interest rates, but the economy is still sluggish and we need this jolt to maintain consumer confidence and to make borrowing easier.”
Mr. Yellon: “This is the worst thing every done in this federal reserve. Think about what you’ve done and come back later.”
Obama: “Shut me right up.”
Mr. Yellon: “I can’t argue with you today. Now, if we’re ready to move on, I’d like to discuss my thoughts on Captain Phillips…”
In other news, I really need a less boring job.

At least if Yellon was put in that position we would finally get to the bottom of who REALLY owns the cubs…..or the banks?

Is this the active thread? No more Girardi on the table.
Who would you guys want?
Manny Acta?
AJ Hinch?
Brad Ausmus?
The Super Maddux Brothers?
Maybe Bengie Molina (just throwing that out there)?
I don’t really know how each guy would do with a crappy ball club anyway, unless the Cubs really retool this offseason.

Well shit. I won the OV bunt tourney thingy, but haven’t been flaunting my cred. I will work on that immediately.
@ Rice Cube:
You forgot Dusty. Also; If Alvin isn’t too busy; in his new role; I recommend him for manager;
