Dreamcast 55: How the Cubs Saved Christmas

Hey everyone, happy holidays! The Cubs pulled off a last minute present just in time even if it wasn’t our first choice in signing Dansby Swanson. Among the various fun topics from AC’s various very good questions include:

  • The fallout from the Carlos Correa drama session
  • How we feel about the Cubs as currently constructed
  • What the Cubs still need to do
  • …and more!

Please rate and review us on Apple Podcasts and share us with your friends. Thanks for listening, and hope you get plenty of fun presents.

Dreamcast 54: Whose Fault is This Anyway?

From my previous rant and given the busy schedule of the other jabronis, I recruited a Twitter buddy to commiserate with re: how stupid the Cubs are and how they can potentially unfuck the offseason somewhat. You can listen below:

Appreciate you guys tolerating my angst. You can also check out the archives at Podbean.

Dreamcast 53: Ode to an Overhaul

Berselius joined me tonight to talk some Cubs free agency (or at least we fantasized about spending all the Ricketts’ money) and we also built a relatively realistic dream team should Jed Hoyer remember how to be aggressive in building a good team we actually want to watch. Hopefully some signings happen soon after the Friday nontender deadline, lest the fans riot come Cubs Convention time.

If you have a moment, please rate this thing on Apple Podcasts.

Talking Cubs/Mets on the Met Musings Podcast

I had an opportunity to join Gary McDonald on his Mets Musings podcast earlier today to talk a bit about the Cubs as we get ready to see Matt Harvey and the Mets this weekend at Wrigley Field.

My part starts at about the 20 minute mark, but before that Gary talks about Ike Davis' struggles and some of the other problems the Mets have been having lately, so maybe the Cubs have a shot to win a third series in a row!

OK, we won't get crazy. Enjoy.

Podcasting the Cubs

Before gallivanting off to the hinterlands of Molina-esque interwebs, Berselius recorded a podcast with longtime reader, sometime commenter sitrick2. We talked the Cubs for about an hour, including talk of prospects, the Dempster situation based on what we knew on Tuesday (not much), and The Future. We also talked some Breaking Bad, Parks and Rec, and other TV stuff to close out the podcast.
