dmick89,
Four games in four days would have been awesome, but it was just just 3 games in one week.

I just had a random log out that was fixed with a refresh. Not on mobile, but it was my first in a while.
ceruleanQuote Reply
That’s some good leadoffing, Chris.
RizzoTheRatQuote Reply
33 pitches.
RizzoTheRatQuote Reply
cerulean,
I just had another log out with RizzoTheRat’s info prefilled.
ceruleanQuote Reply
RizzoTheRat,
I would prefer he be a candidate for the Cubs-adjusted stats.
ceruleanQuote Reply
I wonder if Montero will ever throw out another baserunner.
RizzoTheRatQuote Reply
Boone said anyone you talk to says the Cubs are the best team in baseball. Aaron Boone apparently hasn’t talked to Gerrit Cole.

Same here. I’m going to contact the host in the morning and tell them to get it fixed or we will have to move again. It’s getting old. I apologize.
Baez!

ESPN guys are talking about trading Schwarber for Chapman. Ugh.
RizzoTheRatQuote Reply
Why are these clowns, or anybody else, talking about trading Schwarber? Nobody is untouchable, but he’s as close to it as Bryant and Rizzo. More so when you factor in the future salaries.
dmick89Quote Reply
Schwarber for Miller and Chapman? Maybe.
ceruleanQuote Reply
No thanks. Seriously. Not a chance I’d make that trade.
dmick89Quote Reply
I’m glad Theo & co. are smarter than dumbass announcers.
RizzoTheRatQuote Reply
Don’t worry about it. theo shot rumors of trading Schwarber down.
dmick89Quote Reply
RizzoTheRat,
Yep. I agree.
dmick89Quote Reply
Hendricks is looking really good tonight.
dmick89Quote Reply
dmick89,
I said maybe. I don’t make that trade for non-baseball reasons alone. And the Yankees balk at that. There is no way a trade happens if the Yankees insist on Schwarber, but I think the national media is talking about that because they believe he is only a DH and are devaluing him enormously.
ceruleanQuote Reply
I didn’t think you could trade injured guys.
SKQuote Reply
SK,
I think they changed that rule.
dmick89Quote Reply
If the Cubs do strike a deal with the Yankees, I feel like it will only be to increase the depth on both sides—hitting for pitching, and it will be headlined by Miller and Soler/Baez.
Hendricks going after the K-Kid. (dying laughing)

And I think they call that a “Montero stolen base”.
ceruleanQuote Reply
In case it wasn’t clear to everyone, Montero ≠ Baez.

That was a beautiful pitch.

Hendricks thinks he’s Roger Clemens tonight.

Bryzzo is (are?) on pace for 80+ homers.

Oh. (dying laughing)
ceruleanQuote Reply
cerulean,
Yeah, way back in 2015.

ceruleanQuote Reply
So Maddon didn’t sound optimistic to me about Fowler not going to the DL. Does Murton get called up? This is crazy.
dmick89Quote Reply
Hendricks just struck out McCutchen for the third time. In the same game.
dmick89Quote Reply
Only eleven strikeouts through five. Kyle will have to pick up the pace a little if he is going to break the all time strikeout record. Slacker.
ceruleanQuote Reply
The ball is really flying today.

538 has them back up to 107 wins (108 high). 1592 ELO. Pretty sure that’s the high, isn’t it?
dmick89Quote Reply
To win 100 games, the Cubs only have to go 53-42 the rest of the way.

dmick89,
That is the high season Elo. Also, 1579 is their new historical Elo high.

26% World Series Champions is also a high, no?
ceruleanQuote Reply
cerulean,
I think so. I think it may have been 26% after the win yesterday, but it hasn’t been higher than that. BP is at 18.6% prior to today’s win. That’s also a high.
